Question: Is there a dress code for the weekend?

Answer: No. Most attendees prefer nice casual but you will also see some people dressed in business clothes. Bring something a bit fancier for the banquet and dance Saturday night. Evening wear is appropriate for this occasion.

Question: Do I need to bring a notepad and paper?

Answer: Great idea! When you arrive at the registration desk you will be given a bag and a booklet that tells you all about the conference. The booklet contains a map of the hotel rooms being used for workshops etc, a schedule of events, descriptions of the workshops, and more. The bag makes a great place to store a notepad - you may want to capture ideas you have or take down details that you want to remember later.

Question: How can I get the most out of the weekend?

Answer: Invite your toastmaster friends to come to the conference with you. Sign up to deliver a workshop. Make a point of meeting new people.

Question: I'm looking for someone to share a ride and/or accommodations with. Can you help?

Answer: We can't do the matchmaking ourselves - organizing the conference takes all our time - so we're providing a Facebook page for people to post their requests and provide help - community building style. You'll see the Facebook box in the sidebar - click on the title District 61 Toastmasters Fall Conference. You can write on the wall even if you don't have a Facebook account.
