Sacha Pommepuy

Sacha is an active member of Toastmasters International. He helps fellow members with their speeches and coaches public speaking. He has also served as the 2012-2013 Area 64 governor. His mission is to motivate people with disabilities, as he himself suffers from hearing and visual impairment. He has won numerous speech contests, and is working to develop leadership skills as well.

In 2011 Sacha biked across Canada to raise money for the Foundation Fighting Blindness. He cycled alone from coast to coast starting from Victoria British Columbia to St. Johns Newfoundland (including Prince Edward Island). He averaged 150 to 200 km a day and finished with an incredible 8,051km ride. The foundation raised 250,000 dollars that year!

He has done humanitarian work as a volunteer participating in missions with a leading hearing aid company: Starkey Inc., and its foundation "So The World May Hear". This involved travelling to developing countries such as Panama and the Dominican Republic, and giving out free hearing aids to thousands of kids and adults who are hearing impaired.

Sacha has further enhanced his talents in the film industry, having worked on more than 280 films. In September 2010 he earned a prestigious award for best short film by ‘audience choice’ for "Midnight Ghost" at the "Montreal Actra Short Film Festival". Sacha has also learned the art of magic and has been performing for and delighting audiences with his magic for over a decade.

Sacha’s enthusiasm and positive outlook are infectious. He hopes to inspire others to adopt a positive attitude and to participate in causes that will help improve the lives of others.
