Lance Miller
2005 World Champion of Public Speaking

A graduate of Michigan State University and has held sales, marketing and management positions with the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee, Nestle, Anheuser Bush and Katz Media Group. For 15 years he developed and managed sales and marketing programs for businesses in the fields of Law, Construction, International Finance, Alternative Health and the Internet.

From 1990 to 1993 he served as the National Spokesperson for Citizens for an Alternative Tax System. From 1997 – 2003 he served as Vice-President of the International Foundation for Human Rights and Tolerance where he organized and led International Human Rights Marathons in the U.S and Europe covering over 10,000 miles in over 15 countries.

He joined The Way to Happiness Foundation International as President in January, 2004. The Foundation is an international organization that assists individuals and organizations around the world that want to positively effect their environment by instilling and fostering values of trust, honesty and responsibility. They work with programs in over 2,200 prisons, over 150 drug detoxification and education centers and have serviced nearly 12 million students in over 11,000 schools across America. Many businesses use their programs as guidelines to acceptable behavior for training employees and dealing with difficult customers.

Lance joined Toastmasters in 1992. He considers himself a product of the Toastmasters Communication and Leadership Programs. He is a DTM and has completed 16 CTMs and 2 ATMGs on the communication track. Lance has also held several officer positions at the Club and District level and was instrumental in taking his home club #4 in the World in 1998/99 for clubs with 40 + members.
